Gavin has been painting since childhood. A passion or perhaps obsession that turned into a career. He now regularly contributes his work with the Royal  Hibernian Academy, Dublin and the Royal Ulster Academy. Rather than build a body of work for exhibition, the artist prefers to paint consistently and exhibit his work in a number of Irish galleries and further afield. 

The subject matter may vary but the style and application of paint remain consistent. Bold colours and thick paint applied with palette knife and brush give each piece an energy and atmosphere.

His work can be seen in a number of collections, including, Queens University, Castle Espie wildlife and wetland trust and The city hospital and many galleries throughout Ireland.  He has clients as far a field as Canada and the U.S.
